CAIR-MI will award four high school seniors with the $500 Rosa Parks Scholarship for higher education at the CAIR-MI Annual Banquet, "Faith in Freedom" on April 13 at the Burton Manor in Livonia, Mich. Mehdi Hasan, British TV anchor and journalist will be the keynote speaker.

Michigan students should write a 500-word essay relating the struggle of Rosa Parks to the current civil rights situation. Applicants must include a copy of their transcript, a letter of recommendation and completed application with their essay to enter. Application packages should be mailed, and postmarked no later than April 2 and sent to the CAIR-MI office, 21700 Northwestern Highway, Suite 815, Southfield, MI 48075 with ATTN: Essay. Tickets - $50/adult, $30/student, $10/child, Reserve a table - $450. Babysitting is available for children 6 months to 12-years-old.
