Dr. Jukaku Tayeb has served in various capacities within CAIR Michigan, including serving as a former President of the Board of Directors for several years. He is a practicing nephrologist and the CEO of his group. He serves on several committees in area hospitals. He is a member of the ISNA Founders Committee, a former president of the Islamic Association of Greater Detroit. He is a board of director, and past chairman of the Board of the Huda Clinic, a free charitable health clinic in Detroit where he volunteers at. He is also a member of the Michigan Muslim Community Council (MMCC). He obtained his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in India in 1976, and completed his training in nephrology at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit.
