CAIR-MI uses education, mediation, media, and the law to protect the civil liberties of American Muslims and all Americans. Our legal team provides free consultations, files complaints with government agencies, and pursues litigation when necessary to defend constitutional rights.

Our Services

What We Do

Legal Representation

We provide free legal consultations and representation in cases involving discrimination in employment, education, law enforcement, housing, and public accommodation. When necessary, we pursue litigation to ensure justice.

Training Seminars

We conduct Know Your Rights workshops, cultural competency training for law enforcement, and educational seminars for schools, workplaces, and community organizations to build understanding and prevent discrimination.

Safe Spaces in Schools

Our Safe Spaces initiative works with K-12 schools and universities to create inclusive environments for Muslim students, addressing bullying, religious accommodation, and cultural awareness through proactive partnership.

Complaint Filing

We assist individuals in filing complaints with the EEOC, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, HUD, the Department of Justice, and other government agencies to address discrimination and civil rights violations.
